
Nabil Azar
Nabil Azar is Director of International Programs within Lockheed Martin
Transportation and Security Solutions (TSS). Nabil is based in Dubai,
UAE and is the lead for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) programs
related to Security Enterprise, Aviation, and Civil Mission Solutions.
Nabil is responsible for program development within identity management,
credentialing, security and surveillance, access control, biometrics,
critical infrastructure protection, command and control, air traffic
management, flight services, digital asset management, and data fusion.
Nabil joined Lockheed Martin in 2005. He has managed a number of complex
programs in support of the First Responder Authentication Credentials (FRAC),
Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), Registered Traveler
(RT), Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC), and Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosive (ATF).
Prior to Joining Lockheed Martin, Nabil managed the systems integration
for Merger and Acquisition (M&A) efforts for VeriSign Inc and oversaw the
operations of Domain Name System (DNS) and registration services. Prior
to VeriSign, Nabil led the deployment effort contract for the modernization
and upgrades of the United States Department of State Consular Affairs
Systems at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide; this effort required
him to serve in 43 countries. In 1992, Nabil joined McDonnell Douglas where
he supported various government contracts related to defense and aerospace
industry including NASA's Hubble Space Telescope initiative.
He holds an MBA in Global Management from University of Phoenix, San Francisco
and a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations from University of Maryland,
College Park.
