Amr G. Shawki is the founder and Chairman of Egytec Engineering Co. Being in the field of engineering and specialized events since 1990, Egytec became one of the leading companies in the Middle East and Africa in organizing specialized events in the areas of, identity management, biometrics, banking technology, RFID, information security, power & energy, green energy and energy management.

Mr. Shawki is the founder of the first ever association for smart cards in the Arab region tagged "EASCIA" Egyptian Association for Smart Cards Industry & Applications. Mr. Shawki is a strong believer in the non-profit-community support activities and recently he has called for the first Arab association for the Development of Power and Energy Industries and was elected as the founding Chairman. Over the past few years, Mr. Shawki worked as a consultant for many governmental and non governmental bodies in the areas of digital identity and information security. Mr. Shawki holds a BSc. and B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Leicester (UK).
